They said to hold on to our old gear and weapons. They haven't clarified why yet. They haven't shown many perks for new weapons. They said they were working on vault space, but had run into technical issues. But they said that they might have an alternative. They haven't said what yet.

Must have missed the vault space alternative statement, but I believe they said the reason to hold onto old things is because it would be just as effective as the newer weapons in old content. I could be wrong though.
