Comms: Ginger, we need to talk. Come to the War Room.

Ginger casually strolls in "You called me?"
App shut down. Lol
-
Yeah, I felt we needed to talk.
-
"Shoot. What do you need?"
-
You seem to have been made when you found I had made Jessica a Genesis.
-
He looks at something in the distance, though what he reads is merely projected onto his eyeballs. "And so you turned bit-" He catches himself "Doctor Sinclair into one too? Were you naive enough to believe that would help somehow? Oh yes, I'm sure that you are thankful for her survival, given what's been going on with you two, but you're only making things worse." He stands up straight and looks at you directly "And someday you'll learn the cost of what you've done. And you, and everything that we hold dear, will pay the price."
-
Edited by Bardo XCIX: 8/20/2015 2:01:05 AMYou know, lately you've been talking about the "price of what I've done", and the "consequences of my actions". I don't remember me needing your consent to save someone's life. Ash, yeah she was a mistake. Not one I'll repeat. And I did what I did to Sinclair to save her life. Just like with Murph, and Jessica. You may not see the value in a life, Mr. Clone, but I do.
-
He laughs "I can't possibly see the value of one life among trillions, and name calling will not change that. Sure, I am glad that you saved my friends, and for many there was not another way. But I can't possibly quantify the danger every Genesis presents to every single being in the Galaxy. I've reiterated this numerous times, yet you seem incapable of understanding what I mean." He turns around and takes a sip of water "You seem oblivious of the consequences of your meddling. The fact is that we are not a team, not in the unified sense. We are a time bomb full of strange beings, with mysterious pasts and loyalties, waiting to blow up in your face. If someone gets the key to the Genesis operation, and with every singe new operant this becomes exponentially more likely, then we could face an army more terrifying than anything you have ever faced." He walks out of the room "And that should fill you with more fear than anything I could possibly do to you. Think upon that August."
-
If someone gets the key to Genesis, I'll deal with it. In the mean time, how about you worry about your rampant AI.
-
He walks back in with a refilled cup, and Melissa's head, placing it in front of you. "Oh I'm sorry, you never did ask me what I was doing when I was gone. Do you remember the blokes who tortured us on Hyperion Station? Well, they got DNA samples from you. Had I not stranded them on a remote planet, and executed them, they would've had your genetic coding. Funny how you never thought of tracking them down."
-
Maybe it's because we were busy destroying the entire Echelon Fleet? It's good that you took out the Heads, but in time new ones would rise. I sit down Even if they had our DNA, they wouldn't have the augmentations or bionics to make a full Genesis. Only knock offs.
-
He scowls "That's not the point I'm trying to make. Echelon was just an example of what could happen, a threat that never truly came to reality. If you think that they will be the last, the you are sorely mistaken."
-
What are you being so paranoid about? If someone else comes and tries to steal Genesis, we'll beat them like we did all the others.
-
"And what if we don't, huh? That's what happens when a little success goes your way; you get cocky. I don't think that you've ever lost, truly and completely lost, and you're sure as hell not ready for what happens when you do. Because one loss is all it takes to lose everything you've ever worked for." He looks at you "I don't expect you to believe me right away. Not without proof. Did you know that I'm not the Ginger you met back on Thorisis? That version of me died 7 years ago, on a mission for Atlas." The central holo-table sparks to life, and shows the diagram of a planet. Even at this vast distance, massive ships are visible in orbit and inside the atmosphere. "This, is Typhon, an Atlas colony world in a remote Galaxy. We were fighting the Legion, one of our most infamous foes, a sentient race of devout robots. Ginger was assigned to track down one of their conflux minds on the surface, one of their command hubs. He wasn't ready for the trap that followed, and he lost the firefight that ensued." He hesitates "In a last ditch effort to destroy the mind, he created a singularity using intense gravitational forces. When he was inevitably killed, the singularity raged out of control..." The picture zooms out, showing the planet and most of the ship's sucked into the void, the former collapsing into itself. "Killing 8 billion people. He murdered them all, needlessly, because he couldn't cope with the proposition of losing." The display reverts to normal, and he walks out of the room, fists balled.

I stare at the recording after he leaves Don't assume I don't know what lose is Ginger... I know all to well... That's why I won't lose again...
