it says the taken king is advancing the story, however the guardian should be buried or i wouldnt even mind getting his body in a mission and burying it or sending it off into space with a salute.
seriously like make it a -blam!-ing strike
imagine the mechanics, you enter the hellmouth to find a bunch of wizards carrying the body down to 'dismantle him' or 'experiment' on him
they will continue down the entrance carrying him until their stopped by you.
of course you cant do it right away, their only stop during specific intervals and they'll continue to run away until the mini bosses are all dead, only two of them, both wizards, once the wizards/minibosses/carriers you have to have one of the guardians carry him him out, the other 2 will have to defend them on the way out
once your near the entry point a large ogre would appear, now hes not just a bullet sponge he actually has a small time of immunity were hes roaring, wizards will try to heal him during his roar, the more wizards you kill the less he'll heal and killing all of them will cause a backlash that will hurt him more then when he started
alternativly he could be a knight that instead of roaring will shove his sword into the ground to create a shield that will protect himself
beating him would allow you to continue to the final checkpoint were your ships come down and the strike ends
