The Battle of Britain was over before America joined WW2. Russia ended the war in Europe by capturing Berlin. America joined the war to defend itself from Japan. If Japan wasn't part of the Axis then America wouldn't have even fought with the Allies. America did play an important role in WW2, but Britain would still be standing wether America joined or not.
