Ginger:
After days of searching, Ginger had finally located the Echelon officers that had served on Hyperion station. Those officers who were responsible with the torture of him, and August had paid dearly.
Through cross-referencing and mathematical probability, he had tracked the leaders to a small, desolate world known as Kellheim, where they had likely chosen to stop to evade any unwanted pursuers. Fancy how that turned out for them...
After eliminating the meager defenses during the short and futile firefight that had erupted upon his arrival, he was left with the sole two survivors of Echelon leadership. They looked exactly like the sadistic bastards he had expected them to look like, which made what followed easier for him.
Ginger approached the first man, who still bore a defiant facade, and quickly cut his left leg open with a 4 inch incision, the hard light cauterizing the wound almost instantly. He put a small pistol to the cut, and he turned around to the other man, who looked far more squeamish than his comrade. He would speak. Ginger pulled the trigger, injecting a tiny bullet into the man's leg, and spoke
"I have just injected a slow bullet into your friend's leg. It will continue on its path for another few hours, while it slowly works its way around his vitals until it reaches his heart. It will be the most excruciating pain that he has ever felt in his life, and you will experience it as well if you don't t-"
He was interrupted by the screaming of the tortured man. He glared at him, and then continued
"Tell me everything you know about me, and Genesis, and your fate will be far easier than his."
The second man started to stutter in fear
"W-w-well... Your name is Matthew Radegast Hallwinter. You were born, or rather, c-c-created on the planet of Chorus Prime. You are a Centurion-class manipular and have served both the Atlas Republic and the Galactic Empire. The Genesis program was originally designed to sustain people close to death, but was then used to create a hyper-augmented cyborg soldier."
Ginger nods, and asks
"What does Echelon know about Genesis other than its history?"
"Well, they were unable to decrypt the genetic coding of your friends, but they were able to collect DNA samples, and were able to take neural scans. They know a decent amount about them, and they want to mass produce them so that they will have a powerful, and privately owned force."
Ginger considers the implications, and then asks one final question
"Are you afraid to suffer your comrade's fate?"
The man eagerly nods
"Well, if you know about Atlas, then they'll know about you. And that should put more fear in your heart than anything I can do to you."
Ginger then hands him a detonator
"This will detonate your comrade's bullet, killing him almost painlessly. You will be in the blast radius, so when he dies, you die as well. Choose wisely, for both of your sakes..."
Ginger phases back into his ship, and goes into slipspace, leaving the men to die on their own terms.
