Okay, so don't get me wrong The Taken King sounds like its going to be the best expansion so far. Level cap being raised to 40, new exotics, new story missions, new raid and more. All sounds good but the one thing that really sucks is the price, especially here in the UK.
I can buy the original game the first two DLC's and the taken king on Amazon for £42, but seen as I already have everything bar the taken king (after spending £70 for the collectors edition on day one) I don't need to buy it all again.
Now to buy The Taken King here in the UK as a standalone is currently at £40! I really do not get how this price is worked out?
So what Bungie/Activision is saying is that all of the original content before this expansion is only worth £2? so if this is true why did I pay £70 nearly a year ago?
It feels to me that what the company is doing is saying to all of us that have put hundreds of hours in to this first year is "Thanks for playing this Beta of Destiny, now if you want to play the full game you have to pay us the price of the original game again"
I know that I am not the only person with this opinion after speaking to my friends and a lot of people I have met raiding and most of them have said they are actually put off from buying this DLC because of the HUGE price Tag.
I know Bungie have already changed the price of most of the other content that is being released like the now special edition but from what I can see there is no news on this price being changed.
So My question to Bungie/Activision is where has this price tag come from and how can you justify it being this high when I can get this and all of the original content for £2 more?
