I would like to see if Bungie would bury our fallen brother who died in the ongoing fight against the Darkness. Anything, a makeshift grave of rocks and a piece of metal would do. A little grimoire about who he was and what he had accomplished would be neat as well. He has laid there long enough. It's time we finally put his body to rest; it's the right thing to do. I understand we have taken back his Ghost, but it too has fallen to the shadows. Maybe it deserves something special as well. Could the duo possibly get a little statue in the Tower in their honor?
Edit: Aaayy both of the threads are trending! Keep it up Guardians!!
Also, 800+ comments so far. Nice work! You guys are destroying this!
Edit 2: Added a link to the other forum. If these get big enough, I may just remake one or try to make this one the main.

Edit 4:
Geeze you guys have been busting this out! I'm really proud to have such a prideful community, one that can bond together over an idea and work towards a goal that would better the world that we play in, the world we love so much. First, I want to apologize for not continuing on with this, it's my fault we haven't seen much activity. I've been so busy with work and my home life I haven't had much time to dedicate towards bringing our fallen brother home.
Secondly Guardians, I'm leaving this month for Basic Training for the Army Reserves, and I won't be through will all my training until some time after April of next year. I won't be around to moderate and help keep this post alive, so there may be some silence for a while.
Lastly, I want to say thank you, to everyone who has supported this idea, and will support it. It's something that is personal not only to me but others in our community. You all are keeping this dream alive, and hopefully Bungie will see and at least respond. Give notice to something that isn't just complaining, wanting nerfs, something we care for and would like to see happen.

No? Because guardians can endlessly revive as long as they have their ghosts. His ghost should be the one to be buried

Birdman agrees. ( * v * )

A million deaths is not enough for master rahool

Edited by thx1765: 8/19/2015 1:57:55 AMIsn't that Vell Tarlowe of Eris's fireteam that got killed by Omnigul?
-
he's been lying there since BETA someone please dig him a grave before his armor starts decomposing too.
-
I tbaged him once
rip
There is an argument that the new players wouldn't have anything to see. How about they bury him in that mission? No? Ok
-
It's the first mission on the moon that you do. It will not hurt patrol/any of the other missions or strikes that are done in the future. I agree 100% we should commemorate this brave guardian for chasing the darkness to the pits of hell which it spawns. Make a Statue in the tower with a plaque explaining who he was, what he did, and some more grimore lore.
-
That Titan paid the ultimate sacrifice to a dedicated cause. Bury the man , erect a statue of honour in the tower in memory of him & as a reminder why we venture out there knowing it could be our last trip.
-
Thank you! I thought I was the only was bothered by this!
-
His body fought hard for this war, and he deserves to be buried!
-
-
Bump and sign lol
-
no you idiots if you move the body then new players and people doing that one mission will be confused as -blam!- ghost: I can't sense anything even his light. *staring at gravestone* guardian: no shit
-
Didn't he go dark?
-
Put a memorial in the Tower on one of the grass lawn parts.
-
No bungee should make him him into a mini boss as a taken titan

It would be amazing to have something like a Hall of Heroes with tapestries or something showing fallen heroes as you find them. For example, you find this guy on the moon. You then head back to the tower and into the Hall. You then see a large tapestry hanging from the wall with an image of the guardian with his ghost standing at that hive entrance. In front of the tapestry is a pedestal with the little ghost you found and a plaque that can be read that tells about who the guardian is and what his mission was.
-
I would love to see an epitaph or some sort of memorial for fallen Guardians, particularly those we hear about in passing but beyond Grimoire and small talk there is nothing elaborated. A Hall of the Iron Lords, for instance would entail the Guardians who were renowned combatants in the Iron Banner; Jolder, Felwinter, Efrideet, etc...the Hall could specify their classes, subclasses, and an excerpt on their history. Guardians who were felled in raids too would have an interesting tale to tell. I always had a fascination with Kabr, a history of him in game would be awesome, same with others before us
-
That's vell tarlow. He was part of Eris' crew.
-
The real question is why at the beginning of the game our ghosts can revive our guardians, presumably dead for hundreds of years, but never attempts to revive the freshly killed guardian on the moon.

Edited by Relenter: 8/19/2015 3:01:00 AMMy actual answer: I like the fact that he's just staying there creepily in front of the temple. It makes the temple so much scarier. Honestly the exiled fallen would try to raid his grave or if it was too close to the temple the hive would destroy it. Edit: If buried on the tower after the story mission completion the grave area should open up for you to see it could work
-
Nah, titans suck, if it were a hunter though....
-
Well in the mission it said that there was nothing left
