I don't get y ppl rage the only way u Technically "earn" a exotic is by doing weekly heroic. Otherwise its just luck of the draw. I have 2 and I'm just going to buy my 3rd so I don't have to move 1 between my titan and warlock. AND THATS THAT. THE END:)

  • I just got an exotic from a purple last night on a moon patrol...Hawkmoon. My second one, and I definitely didn't feel like I earned it. People are nuts. I guess someone could 'technically' say they 'earned' Thorn, SGA, Pocket Infinity, etc because of the multiple steps through the exotic bounty. But, I agree with you 100%...there's no earning in RNG.

  • I actually joined my friends trying to 3 man atheon with the warlock self-res thing, and I had spawned in as they killed him, got a Gjallarhorn. I felt so bad for them, and it was my second anyway, as i had received my first in Iron Banner, second to last with a .46 kd. Again, felt bad because I was with the same group of friends.

  • False, the only way you earn an exotic is through accomplishing tasks that are out of the category of casual play, and working towards set goals, in the form of a bounty that has things to complete in order to earn it. But, to everyone who got Gjallarhorn on Week 2 from Xur, everyone who got a Gjallarhorn from some form of RNG, and everyone who got Gjallarhorn today, Congratulations. Enjoy it while you can, because, you know, it IS a Gjallarhorn no matter how it was received.
