They are only selling it because it's no longer going to be op.
It's obvious now the nerf to Wolfpack is going to be pretty big.
Plus they want to create hype for the expansion.
I'm sure this time next year - whatever the op weapon is will also be sold.

I read somewhere that Deej said "there will still be occassions to pull out the old Gally " (paraphrase) Which to me says there will be different boss mechanics other than bullet sponge ....
