To all those buying the Gjallarhorn..
Congrats! RNG can be mean, I only got the God of War shader a few weeks ago! Don't let these salty people infect you. I got my 1st Gjallarhorn on Crota's End from the Deathsinger, when I was dead for that whole entire encounter.. I didn't "earn" it, your strange coins were earned so these salty guardians can keep quiet..

*UPDATE* nice to see a lot of love from fellow Guardians but it's unfortunate that there's a large amount of Guardians that need to get checked out at the hospital for poisoning because of all the salt inside them..
Thought I'd share that I have 3 Gjallarhorns already, I got my second and third from nightfalls (a week apart funnily enough)
Don't listen to the salt about "it's gonna be nerfed so who cares" as they're only reducing the damage of the wolfpack rounds, and I don't see them reducing it by much, meaning it will still be a beast weapon, but we'll have to wait and see..
Elitists can cry extra salty tears today, they deserve to...

I got my first Gjallarhorn months ago from a legendary engram in the crucible, it was an awful day with nothing but kinderguardians as teammates. I got the other ones days ago, buying them from XÛR of course, because I'm not a hardcore player.

6 RepliesI'm kind of in two minds about this one. On the one hand....I've played with guys who have been grinding for months on end to get a Gjallahorn, to no avail. Each time I played with them they'd (like me, when I didn't have one) wish and wish that the VoG chest would spurt one forth or that they'd get one at the end of a Nightfall. Unfortunately for them, they just ended up getting shards (or is that sharded?). On the other hand, having received a "gallie" through normal gameplay, I can't help feel sorry for the guys who never had the pleasure of jumping up on their chairs like Tom Cruise and shouting down their microphone that they got a "gallie". Oh...the joy that brings to the recipient and their team mates is a very natural high. The only other things that can even come close these days are the Crux of Crota, Hopscotch Pilgrim or the Ash Factory. It took me about 100 Vanguard Dragon strikes to get the Hopscotch Pilgrim but it was sooooo worth it for its sniping ability in the Crucible. So...for all those out there who still want a challenge, go hunting for a Hopscotch Pilgrim.

15 RepliesThis will hopefully bring some balance when your trying to team up for a strike or raid, now everyone has a Ghorn and it won't be used as a measurement of ability in the game, people will actually have to be good regardless of their heavy weapon. I'm happy and bought a few extra Ghorns to dismantle for the kicks haha. All said and done I will still use my Mida or Suros and Hunger as my heavy

Doesn't really bother me who got it, but "only nerfing the wolfpack rounds"....Uhhh what do you think does all the damage? What makes it different, and sets it apart from EVERY other rocket in the game???? Wolfpack Rounds, so "nerfing" those will have a huge impact to the Giggity Horn, no way around it.

You can sit through an entire weekly heroic strike without killing anyone and receive strange coins. That's not earning at all. There is no real way to earn anything in this game except the exotic bounties because you actually have to do all of that yourself.

Congrats on your God of War shader! I actually ended up with the GoW shader myself in the last week or so off a cryptarch package earlier in the week. Myself I'm in the same Gjallahorn boat as you are. I actually had gotten 4 prior to Xur selling it this weekend. And although it arguably his best inventory ever; I had no need to buy anything as I already had each of the armors and gjally. I meant to buy a few ammo synths but time slipped me; but I'm not to worried as I'm still in the high 80s on each chara as to how many I have. As for everyone else who finally was able to get a gjally, congrats! Hope you enjoy the weapon as I and many other guardians before have. Yes I'm WELL aware it's getting the nerf bat treatment; but it's still going to be a damn good weapon post nerf.
