Tips on what to do before taken king comes out. 1. Get to 34. Light level will be removed in taken king so try to get to 34 now or you will have to level up to 34 with XP in taken king. Also try to get 3 lvl34's if u can. 2. Get exotics. Exotic will remain powerful in taken king so try to get as many as you can now. 3. Get good legendary weapons and armor. Legendary weapons can't be ascended in taken king but will still be useful early on. Due to no more light level, old armor will be still useful until you find armor with better perks. 4.factions. Just before taken king is released make that all factions are near to ranking up so that when taken king comes out you can rank them up and get new packages. 5.bounties. Have 10 bounties ready to hand in just before taken king is released. When it is released hand them in to rank up your guardian. Also you may want to use the bounties to rank up your factions. Use focused light and exotic class items to get more XP. 6. Vault. Make sure u have some vault space for the new gear. You can transfer your gear to other characters to help make space. 7. Inventory. To help make space for your inventory you may want to dismantle fallen tokens when taken king is released to make room for new stuff. Also try to use telemetrys to help upgrade weapons and clear space 8.endgame events. Complete raids, POE and trials now because when taken king comes out not many people will be doing them. 9. Materials Try to get as many class materials and planetary materials as you can to help upgrading gear. Also try to get as much motes of light and strange coins for Xur.
