If I listen very closely, it almost sounds like....... "-blam!- you."
So the story on this little bastard is, I'm driving down the highway behind a big scrap truck. The truck slows, goes to turn, and sure as -blam!-ing shit, as it takes the turn, a little too quickly, and a decent sized metal rod flies off the thing, goes straight through my side window as I pass by, and impales itself in the dashboard there.
It took out my side window, -blam!-ed my dashboard, -blam!-ed the controls to my lights, totalled a few instruments, and cracked my windshield. And a stray piece of wood, smashed my -blam!-ing door in.
And that shit could have killed me. Inches away from splattering my arm into mashed potatoes and any other angle and I would have been hit directly. Not that I'm a stranger to this shit at this point. But damn.
I count my luck every day. One of these days the reaper is going to land a full shot on me. Anyway.
This little mess up presents a doozy of a mechanical issue and a doozy to repair money wise since I didn't get the plates on the truck and I sure as hell wasn't up for chasing him down. But hey. Still alive, thankfully.
