With TTK releasing in a month, I was wondering if the Year 1 expansions would still be relevant during Year 2. I'm just returning to Destiny after a long break, and have neither expansion. Is it worth for new or returning players like me to pick up either expansion before TTK drops in order to experience everything Destiny has to offer and grab some sweet loot before September 15, or will they be outdated after TTK and be left behind in favor of the new end game content? Will there be any reason to revisit Crota's End, POE, Trials of Osiris, or other similar Year 1 content during Year 2? Are they really worth the money at this point?
In the case that they don't become irrelevant, is there reason to buy both expansions before TTK releases to gear up and experience them to prepare for TTK, rather than purchasing all of Destiny's DLC in any of the many bundles that are being offered and maybe save a few bucks? Looking forward to Destiny Year 2 and excited to see what Bungie will bring to the table.

Honestly all year one gear and missions will be irrelevant in year two. But the kicker is that you still have to own the irrelevant crap to play the relevant crap. Hell you dont even need the core game to play it. Thats why there is a consumable to give new guardians a boost so they can play it too. Id just wait to buy the bundle if i were u. Dlc bundle + TTK = $70. TTK bundle = $60. So save ur money and just wait. Ur basically paying $60 just to play TTK
