By current Bungie standards, this is enough content to fill all of Destiny II and it's first DLC pack. Lol. Some good ideas, however, the scope you suggest is not feasible on the current Destiny platform so long as it is still tethered to Last Gen consoles like 360 and PS3. The biggest mistake Bungie made in my opinion was to cater to the last gen crowd. By making the game playable on these systems, they were forced to strip the game down and cut lots of features. Listen to developers talk about the existing maps... Old Russia was actually supposed to be nearly twice as large or more as it actually was, the reason for sparrows was because the maps were originally supposed to be a lot bigger than they actually, but they were ultimately downsized largely in order to allow the game to run on last gen systems. In all of the "Destiny Conspiracy Theory" that has been circulating on the web and forums, attempting to explain why Destiny was not what was originally expected and advertised, my theory is much more mundane. But also more practical. I honestly believe when Bungie set out to make Destiny, they originally planned to launch it on PS4 and XBone only. The game was in development even before the systems came out, it would have had to be anyway, games take a lot of time to develop, especially ones of this size. Due to the economy and other reasons, gamers were slower to transition to PS4 and Xbox1 than was likely projected. Somewhere into development of the game, it was decided to make the game run on BOTH last gen and next gen. In order to do this, a lot of content and features had to be cut mid project to make the transition. Again, this decision was likely made due to slow adoption of Next Gen systems, in efforts to capture the largest initial market share. This would be essential to their "10 year development plan". This is the first time in console gaming history (to my memory) that games were being released for the old system and new system simultaneously 2 years after the new system launch. This is for a few reasons i think. One, the difference between the PS3 and PS4, or 360 and "1", are no where near the quantum leap that was between say, NES and SNES, or SNES and N64. Or PS1 and PS2. With most of the same basic hardware and capabilities, the old gen can do 90% of what the next gen can do. So game developers just give us the 90% in order to keep the full market share. This has adverse effect though. Traditionally it is the games that drive the sale of the system. Even after 2 years of sales, Neither Xbox1 or PS4 have any next gen. exclusive games that are a "Must Have". All the major titles, Destiny, Call of Duty, Battlefield, All the EA Sports games, Elder Scrolls, Dragon age, ALL are on BOTH systems. This has stymied game development immeasurably as developers are not developing games that actually take advantage of the Next Gen capabilities, even 2 years after launch. Madden 16, not even released yet, MADDEN 16, is being released on last gen systems. LAST GEN. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS PEOPLE.
