She follows him, curious about how he works. He looks down at what he was last working on, a schematic for a prototype shotgun. She eyes the blue paper.
"Whoa, that thing is badass."
"Thanks."
He rolls up the paper and throws it on the bed.
"Alright. First things first, we need to make a plan."
He pulls a pencil from a cup on his desk and a piece of blue paper from a drawer.
"Uhm...plan? I don't know much about guns, so..."
He laughs a bit.
"Do you want a gun that loads behind the handle, or in front of the handle?"
"What's the difference?"
He smiles.
"The one's in the back have a bit more range. The one's in front are easier to handle and load."
"Uhm....front then."
Python starts drawing, soon he has a main body, barrel and buttstock.
"What kind of sight?"
"What do you have?"
He begins rummaging through his seemingly endless supply of scopes, some broken, some in near-perfect condition.
"I've got sniper scopes, holographic things, iron sights and painted scopes."
"Uhm....holographic?"
Python draws a scope on the rifle, it looks like an ACOG.
"Alright. How big of a bullet do you want?"
"I'm assuming, the bigger the bullet, more kick and firepower there is behind it?"
"Yeah."
"What do you shoot?"
"50 cal of my rifle, explosive buckshot out of my shotguns."
"Maybe a 30 cal?"
"That sounds good. Good balance of power and recoil. Now the fun part."
He finishes the drawing and grabs the necessary parts to the gun from drawers and crates from around his room.
"So, what you wanna do is build this."
He holds up a picture of the gun.
She nods.
"First thing, attach the barrel to the body."
He stands and offers her his seat. She sits at the desk and begins tinkering with the barrel. She twists the barrel into place and Python nods.
"Nice. The gas system and everything else is already in place."
"Now the buttstock."
"Right. There should be a clip on the front of the buttstock and one on the back of the gun."
Jessica finds them.
"I found them."
She clicks them together and Python looks at her, suprised she knows this much.
"Wow, you're a fast learner. A very fast learner."
Jessica smiles and aims her rifle at the wall.
"I like this thing."
"Still got a scope and mag to add."
Python hands her a scope, exactly like the one he drew.
"This is probably one of the hardest part right here. What I normally do is just melt the scope onto the gun."
His blowtorch stands at the end of the workbench, dusty and old. He grabs it and cleans it a little. Python hands the blowtorch to Jessica.
"Careful, please."
She looks up at him, smiling.
"I'm fine."
She lights the blowtorch and begins melting the scope to the gun. Soon the gun is finished besides magazines.
"I'll make the magazines, they're a pain in the ass."
He begins making magazines, one by one until he has 9 ready and good to go.
