I completely agree, Bungie has a terrible habit of contradicting themselves constantly, even here they have hyped this game by saying that gear will stick with us and will be used to show the battles we have been in, the things we have accomplished and the gear and weapons are supposed to make us unique. Now taking it away and making it irrelevant completely contradicts that, how does making us use new weapons make me unique, I busted my ass to get a fatebringer, voc and black hammer and I should be able to use it, it shows that I have completed the hardest activities in the game and I should be able to enjoy the fruits of my labors, legendary weapons are even more important then exotics since you can't just buy legendary raid weapons like exotics, other then my gally which you can't buy from xur anymore it seems and thorn which was a bitch to get, my raid weapons tell far more of a story and took far more effort to get, making them unusable in the next expansion seems unfair and contradicts what destiny was supposed to be according to Bungie. There is any easy fix to all of this, let us ascend our weapons which was the selling point of HoW and make weapons that are better or equivalent to the old raid weapons, I am sure most people are like me don't want to use the same weapons all the time, unfortunately bungie hasn't been doing that lately where the weapons from HoW weren't just not as good but actually worse since bungie took away a perk for some stupid reason with poe element primaries, obviously trials is a different story but half the community can't get them since they are not top tier pvp players, and yes I know before the element primaries were all in pvp but vog or ce is significantly easier then trials if you don't have a great team and any pvp player that can do trials could also do raids pretty easily so it is not the same thing really.
