Hello people of the Offtopic community, today I would like to pose a question.
Which rocket launcher, the Norfleet or the Gjallarhorn, is the more powerful?

I feel as though I don't need to explain anything about the Gjallarhorn to you, though as many of you have not played Borderlands, I've included a video by MAK showcasing the Norfleet.
I will begin by stating their individual properties, and then compare each of them.
First, the Gjallarhorn.
The Gjallarhorn is an exotic rocket launcher that makes use of a special perk called "Wolfpack Rounds". These split off several smaller projectiles from the base rocket after the initial explosion, which track to nearby enemies and cause this rocket launcher to have the highest DPS in Destiny. It uses the Solar element.
It is mainly effective against large enemies with a plentiful amount of health, or bosses, especially those with solar shields.
Now, for the Norfleet.
The Norfleet is a legendary Rocket launcher from Borderlands 2 that makes use of insanely high initial damage and an extremely wide blast radius, as well as post-impact elemental DoT's to dispatch enemies. It comes in every element available in the game (fire, slag, corrosion, and shock), in order to effectively deal damage to certain types of enemies. It has incredible versatility, as a version of the Norfleet is a staple for nearly every powerful build in the game, and is essential for end-game gameplay.
These features make it the highest DPS, and best, rocket launcher in Borderlands 2.
And finally, the comparison.
While both rocket launchers are incredibly powerful, they are not the same. The effect that sets the Gjallarhorn apart from other launchers is it's post-impact DPS, making it very easy to take down enemies with large health pools, though it is only useful against large singular enemies or a cluster of smaller enemies.
The Norfleet, on the other hand, is the best in BL2 because of it's initial damage and ability to come in every element, providing much needed versatility, whole the post impact DoT's are purely a bonus. It's power and blast radius allow it to take down large groups of singular enemies in a single shot, or alternatively defeat Raid Bosses in only a few shots, with the correct buffs.
Due to the points I have outlined, I hold the Norfleet as the better launcher. It deals substantially more relative damage, has a much wider blast radius, leaving it capable to take down much larger groups of enemies, and finally, deals damage over time and initial damage in every element, allowing it to be used in every situation, while the Gjallarhorn is only applicable against enemies with a solar shield or no shield at all.
TL;DR: Norfleet>Gjallarhorn.
