For a while now the pvp aspect of destiny has been broken. The crucible has become "I have a better weapon than you" rather than "I use my weapon more effectively than you." Instead of people using what they want to use, they use what they have to to stand any chance against certain weapon types. The main problems are hand cannons, shotguns, and sniper rifles. Hand cannons have too much range (particularly Hawkmoon) and can now be used from sniper rifle range ( yes, they can, I have personally been killed by Hawkmoon from across the map). Thorn's impact is a bit much as well, seeing as you can set up lethal damage from just two head shots. Shotguns are probably the most obvious op weapon in the game. So much that shotguns are almost all people use anymore. They're impact makes it impossible to react at a close range. I know, I know, shotguns are meant to be the strongest option for close range combat. But close quarters happens enough in the Crucible that they have become too powerful. I think making it take two shots instead of one would give people some time to react. Shoulder charge has a similar problem. Sniper rifles have the same problem as shotguns, but with sniper rifles, you can't see the user on your radar, making it nigh-impossible to know its coming. And enough people have learned to use sniper rifles at mid-range to make it impossible to escape from. I don't think I'm alone on these matters. And I also know that there will be people saying these changes would make the weapons useless. To those people, I say they will only feel useless because everyone is so use to them being very overpowered. I know you guys at bungie a working hard on the Taken King, but all we need are a few overall stat changes. I hope you consider this.
