I use weapons from vanilla, TDB, and HoW. I feel like we would leave the old stuff behind on our own even with ascension still in game. Destiny would be a completely different game if they kept ascension. I feel it would make it very diverse and have something that most progression style games don't have, which is the ability to choose what we use. All I see happening with TTK is what happened before, we will all be wearing the same thing, using the same weapons.
