I use weapons from vanilla, TDB, and HoW. I feel like we would leave the old stuff behind on our own even with ascension still in game.
Destiny would be a completely different game if they kept ascension. I feel it would make it very diverse and have something that most progression style games don't have, which is the ability to choose what we use.
All I see happening with TTK is what happened before, we will all be wearing the same thing, using the same weapons.

Exactly! I remember when EVERYONE had the same freakin Crota gear on. It was such a relief to mix it up with VOG, IB, and Osiris options came about. I hate using the same weapons/gear all the time. I thought we were finally building a legend instead of another carbon copy of every player with a completion of the new raid under his belt.

Seeing as how Bungie already encountered (and subsequently fixed) this same problem, I can't understand why the hell they'd make the same mistakes [i]again[/i]. *rage face*

Only the taken king weapons, they aren't adding THAT many more weapons or armor for that matter. Just an excuse to add more later if they can get us to get rid of the old. It is a business strat, if they allow us to keep our weapons, we may not see a need for their supposed "new and improved" business strat.
