Step 1: Snap the party app (if you're on Xbox One) and highlight the "Leave party and multiplayer" option.
Step 2: Start talking about something while repeatedly muting your mic so it sounds like your connection is going out.
Step 3: When you feel like you're done, click on the "Leave party and multiplayer option."
Step 4: Regret nothing.

Works wonders. Just make sure to set yourself up to appear offline if you want to really make it work. This saves you from that awkward situation where you have to wait for your ghost to take you to orbit with everyone watching, and saves their pride, leaving them thinking that you left because of something out of your power.

I once left a raid group right after another guy. Posted on the forums for the Atheon CP, got an invite, and the same guy was in that fire team. First words he said to me were, "Dude, those kids were SO bad..."
