That's cute. Basically what I said but defended by rhetoric. My answer was more succinct I think.
I do have a question. If women have no power then why are they such a force to be reckoned with in the media?
I read your article, I invite you to read, Bias by Bernard Goldberg. He shines a light on many overarching problems with the media but also includes a section on men bashing and how poorly men are generally treated in the media. Most of the time in ways that would be unspeakable if the roles were reversed. Also, the possible effects this has on young boys growing up in this new reality.
One such example includes a bride who had been jilted at the altar who was asked by Katie Couric on her NBC show about the appropriate remedy: "Have you considered castration as an option?" she asks? No one batted a collective eyelash. Imagine if you will, if Tom Brokaw asked a man who was abandoned at the alter, "Have you considered cutting her breasts off?" I'm trying to figure out what would happen first, immediate dismissal from his position or suicide once he realized the public flogging he was in for, for the rest of his life?
My original post was just to poke fun at exclusionism in general and the silly dudes who actually want to join an all women clan, but if you are actually trying to justify real sexism I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree with you.
I'll step down off my soapbox now.
