Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas.
I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.
im watching he honest ok....
Well here's the equation: Internet + immaturity = It's not hard to figure out. Those people are shitty to everyone. Being a female only adds a target.
-
I don't do any of that. I was raised better than that lol. But i only have one gamer girl friend and we don't talk that much anymore soooooo
-
I usually spend the whole game listening to the voice to determine whether or not the gamer is a girl... .-.
-
1. I side with Team Gents. 2. You have to realize most guys who do this on video games probably have been beaten up by 4 year old little girls. 3. Team Lads sucks.
-
It's the minority (at least in my experience) that do stuff like that. Sadly the minority can also be the loudest.
-
Because they've accepted the fact that they're going to remain virgins for the rest of their lives.
-
Why do teenagers treat women bad?
Because they're morons.
-
I don't know, why do you think almost all male gamers are jerks?
-
I treat them normally,obviously.
-
The "immature" male gamers probably just give the women a hard time for any one or so of these reasons: -because it's the internet -because they have no people skills -because they're sexist -it's unintentional and they still think the "get back in the kitchen" jokes are hilarious -they're just assholes in general and don't get along with anyone different from them There are more but that will do for now. As for me I don't care, so long as you can hold your own. And even if you can't or you're not familiar with something (let's just say the Skolas boss battle) then I'll help you out. My only exception to playing with people are the squeakers as I've had too many negative occurrences with them and don't care to try anymore
-
From my experience, it is caused by women not liking them or just having a father and the mother not being present. But I like playing with women (a lot more than men) cause they are a bit nicer, and aren't has crude (I have misophonia)
-
We don't, boys do.
-
Gonna go total White Knight here which goes against everything I stand for, but I just talk to them normally like I would a dude. Whether you've got a penis or vagina doesn't matter to me. Now if your totally shit then you're gone no matter your gender. But there, White Knight Jax rant over
-
I treat them just like anyone else I'm with
-
It's about kd difference The guys who send h8 are probably worse in skill or immature Team gents 4 me
-
I personally try to treat them good in my lobbies like I would treat everyone else.
-
I am perfectly fine with women playing games. I think it's great that they can do what they want to do, and not what others tell them to do.
-
Hell I don't think I've been in a group with any females in the game. I don't talk much anyways in my groups. I think the only thing I said in VoG was oracle down and Mars or Venus
-
Umm i dont have a problem with chicks gaming. Ive never been rude to them. I did accidently call one a sqeaker tho... she took it well and realised i got it wrong and she ended up being heaps nice
-
I have never once been rude or whatever with a female gamer. Ever. Why would I? They are just gaming like I am. I may get a bit flirty later on if we spend a lot of time gaming together, but that's more of a social thing rather than a gaming thing.
-
Because a lot of those guys are social rejects. The only people I see doing that shit are assholes in game chat, nobody I actually talk with reacts that way. My best guess is that they think they can say whatever they want, and since it's the internet it's ok.
-
See most guys aren't used to girls playing videogames (I would encourage them to) see guys think girls aren't like humans (some like me treat them like ppl and respect) so if I had my best friend (she's a girl) play videogames then told her about how guys act like they do she'd be shocked but it's true I don't understand why most guys can't just accept the fact a girl is a gamer, they rule and their more girls who game then guys so take that Internet haters who don't love their life for what it is (if u have done this just say so and we can forgive, bro hug if u need it

For the past year I've only ever run into maybe a dozen ladies on destiny. Only one of those times did someone in the party acknowledge the fact that she was a girl. He said "it's probably a dude". That was the worst I've heard and that was with a random raid team. Other than that every girl I've ever run into was treated equal if not completely treated like a lady. My squad is in our early twenties so a bit more mature besides the fact that we are constantly cracking jokes. Most are actually still my friends list. So when I hear that girl gamers are always mistreated. I'm thinking to myself why not find a group of your own so you don't have to play with kids and immature assholes. There are decent guy gamers out playing. We are not all assholes :D
-
I don't care what gender you are. If you're annoying, you're getting kicked. If you're bad, you're getting kicked. It's not hard to understand.
-
I would say it's because a fairly large, vocal portion of female gamers can't just play the game like everyone else, without insisting on drawing attention to the fact that "woo! I'm a gurrl..." They assume that they're special, and that we a should give a -blam!-.
-
I would say, 90% of my friend's list is females. That answer your question? ;)
