Why do men treat women gamers bad? I legit want true honesty here (open up)
Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas.
I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.[spoiler]im watching he honest ok....[/spoiler]

Also from texas, i just assume no women from the south play, i never get matchmade with them. Shame. No love for the southern hospitality.

You can't stop trolls, and if you are female it's easy ammo. They need accountability like in other mmo games, I got a nasty email from blizzard for telling someone to eat a dick. In LOL Riot games changed my GT because Poopdlck offended someone. Personally I love women, and if you game that's awesome. Wish my fiancee gamed more.

Gamers tend to be competitive, name calling or bashing is a long tradition in the community. They use it because it works, it gets under ones skin. If you want it to stop sometimes you just have to hit back harder to win. Well... Some of these guys are just plain creepy, but they are a minority (imho).

That would imply that I've had any form of vocal contact with anybody over a console in something like the span of a year. Your question then. Personally, I don't particularily care one way or the other. In the sense that I just can't be arsed. I don't like talking much and I don't like people much. I've nothing worth talking about and the more I listen to people the less inclined I am to think that they do either. If you want a solid answer as to why people are sacks of old sacks, it's rather simple. Put somebody in a space where they can communicate, but there are no physical interactions. No social cues, no body language, no faces. There's no connection other than that of communication. There's little to no repurcussions because of the lack of physical limitations. And so the ugliest things in people come out. Their true colours, if you will.

Some go all weird and shy or hit on em etc and I never get why it's like dude you don't know her she lives half way across the world and the only thing you have in common is you Halo....how is that relationship material? Stop acting like "girl gamers" get all the rude and vulgar comments all the time. I've heard men online speak to each other far worse than anything I've ever heard one say to a woman.

Not in expert in all things psychological, but the best I can say in the matter is that they act out due to stereotypes. The public views people who associate themselves as gamers as an older teenage male most of the time. That doesn't help "outsiders" fit in, especially when a weird combination of patriotism and elitism infect many of the members of the group. It is really unfortunate to see this happen though. Apologies for all the wrong doings.

Still trying to figure this out myself, what I have found is either they are pervs or thy are sexist, that's as much as I can get out of my fellow gamers (Ps, if you are on Xbox one and need someone who is actually a decent human being, I know some friends who are fine with fire teaming with a girl, still, not sure why it's a problem for most people.
