Thats a badass plane but good luck seeing over the blowers sticking out of the hood & not shooting through your own propellor with that gun

Mechanics have existed since WWI that synchronize the revolution of the propeller with the main gun. I imagine a fictional plane from a later era can probably achieve something similar. Though I agree with you on that silly engine intake thing.
