WARNING: WALL OF TEXT INBOUND. If you want to make it quick, skip to the end of the theory, a very short version is there.
So I was on my sparrow, and fell of the map accidently on the way to the temple of crota. I survived by using the triple jump from the bones. I opened my inventory, looked at them, and realized something.
BONES of eao
The boots are made of bones, and these bones look a lot like the ones from young ahamkara's spine, skull of dire ahamkara, ect...
So the bones of eao are probably ahamkara bones.
Ahamkara are a species we know next to nothing about.
One thing we do know is that they are extinct.
Or at least we think we know.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkuOoW3GQfY Here, go find them yourselves, you can see the extinct species alive and well flying around venus.
Also, as it was revealed, activision took out content to sell it later for DLC to save money, but the trailer and all of that was made before that happened. In the trailer which was launched at around 20 August 2014, at one point you see a sniper aiming at a dragon. Remember that.
Bones of eao's description is 'Defy extinction'
The boots look ahamkaraish, so they are probably ahamkara boots.
Defy means to refuse to obey, resist. Extinction is what happened to the dinosaurs, 'an end of a species'
So the description basically means that someone or something resisted the extinction of something.
'Eao' is probably a name.
Overall, the bones of eao are probably a hint. Eao was an ahamkara to survive the extinction of his species, by hiding in venus. Eao probably brought others and convinced them to follow him, and that is why you see multiple dragons on Venus. Eao and the other ahamkara had probably learned of the extinction of their fellow species. They made nests in that area that looks like ruins covered with fog where you see them. There they continued the species ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for many years. Eao eventually died of age, and that is why we have his bones. The other ahamkara, however, wanted revenge.
BUT WAIT
Activision took out parts of the game to sell it later for DLC.
In the official live trailer, at the end they jump into a massive hole. We haven't seen that yet. It could be the ahamkara's nest.
In that short clip of a sniper aiming at a dragon, you can see the moon in the backround, looking very large.
Where does the moon look largest out of all the locations of destiny? Earth.
The dragon cannot have been in space, because 1. The sniper's scope was not moving, so he was standing still, which is impossible in space, as he would have been moving. Even if he was on a platform in space, he would be orbiting earth at speeds of >1,000 mph, much faster than a dragon can fly. 2. If the dragon is big enough to cover up that much of the moon, we would've noticed it and the bones of them would not be so small.
So as to sum it up, one of the DLCs in the future will maybe be the ahamkara's revenge. The ahamkara will probably return, seeking revenge, and to kill the ones who killed their friends and almost eradicated them. They come to earth, and you need to fight them back. The raid or strike however, could be when you take the fight back to them and go to the nest (That huge hole) and kill their leader, making sure they are totally and utterly extinct.
This is just a theory, we haven't seen the ahamkara make a huge appearance yet, so I think they might appear in the future. Activision took out parts of the game for DLC, but they probably missed this.
Sorry for the huge wall of text.
If you skipped to the end, you can find ahamkara here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkuOoW3GQfY. Those ruins in the fog are probably nests for the ahamkara.
