How didn't I? Hard mode at lvl 30 is tough.

What does being tough have to do with it? It's an RNG. You don't earn Anything.

You're wrong he did earn it. The only way to get FB is by doing the VOG on hard. Not only that but you have to beat it enough times to be lucky enough to get the drop.

Even if I only beat it once, I still earned it through the in game reward system. And grinding the destiny slot machine is often much harder than linear progression.
