I just got my first look at a Year Two Iron Banner weapon, the Ironwreath. This is a perfect example of a new weapon I'd happily grind for, but it doesn't hold a candle to the lovely form of my Year One Iron Banner gear. I'd love to have it in my collection, since it's a new sidearm with my beloved wolf insignia. It looks more like a COD gun, like Hakke weapons do, but an Iron Banner sidearm sounds nice. That said, I much prefer the design of my Year One Iron Banner gear, and don't wish to shelve it until something nicer comes along, not because Bungie wants me to play with their new toys. They've already created something to work toward, with etheric light, just keep that as the carrot for those who prefer their current gear. Ultimately, this path will lead to much greater variety as the expansions and years roll on, creating a much more diverse experience overall. Please reconsider this terrible decision Bungie.
