Bungie released in the recent weapon balance patch notes that they would nerf Hawkmoon's lucky rounds by 3%. Now this looks completely odd and random at first glance but after I did some tests and math I figured out a possible reason for why they would be doing this: The Ram
Yes that stupid Warlock helmet that makes Titans feel like nothing. You see if you have the maximum amount of armor on a Warlock plus The Ram, then Warlocks will get about 220 health. Which is about ten more than a Titan with max armor. With aggressive ballistics, Hawk moon does 94 precision damage and 126 with a lucky round, dealing exactly 220 damage (this is only precision damage). But with the 3% decrease the lucky rounds will do 123 damage which would deal 217 damage with a regular shot. Which will leave a Warlock with The Ram barely alive, spamming Thorn shots at you while you sit there puzzled.
This will make The Ram even more annoying and overpowered and probably overused. I can't wait to see more skill less Warlocks in the Crucible always having The Last Word against my soon to be Hawkmoon (I play on Xbox), and snipe me with their Matadors with a range of 64.
