Well, we'll simply have to disagree on the subject of the Ascend mechanic. I thought it was the best addition to Destiny, yet. Additionally, I worry about the precedent this sets for the game going forward. Will all of our weapons be outclassed after a few months? In TDB, Bungie seemed to set that trend, and then reversed it in HoW. I can't get a bead on what they plan to do, and it's making me leery of sticking with this game, despite how much I like some of changes they're making. The sense of accomplishment in getting a weapon I really wanted will now be extinguished by the very real possibility that I'll get to enjoy it for a few months at most before it's outclasses in the next expansion.
