Exactly, that is entirely what myself and others are saying as well. No one cares about an emblem or shader, but the weapons and armor we keep from those times serve as a symbol of what we have been through. And that was the reason for why Bungie didn't want Player Trade, because they wanted us to get attached to these things. They said that multiple times in interviews. Now they are magically changing their minds about all that? No, not cool in the least. You are right, if they want us to use new weapons, then they need to be more creative with what they are putting out. Not use some arbitrary stat like "Max Damage" to try and force players into replacing their old stuff.
