THEY HAVE TO MOVE ON. Weapons and armor become obselete in RPG/MMO's. It happens. Effin' get over it or jump on the hype train to another game (If you do, I would suggest Scalebound or Darksouls 3, but you won't 'cause you care too much about Destiny hence, this thread) TTK is year two and I believe everything should be fresh, which it is. Even Ghost is getting reworked dialogue and potentially better voice acting. I'm so sick of Fatebringer, Black Hammer, Vision of Confluence master races. You can keep your old legendary gear as souvenir's though. I have no problem moving foward, those new Hakke weapons look dope.

Edited by Megaman: 8/7/2015 8:40:41 AMIn what other "mmo/rpg" (Destiny is neither by the way) are there a 3 pay to unlock areas "dlc" released within one year forcing you to re re re level your gear?
-
WoW does it alot.

Except WoW you are swinging swords and shit. This is guns we're talking about, each with a number of different attributes. This isn't an RPG or an MMO. And you could argue Borderlands switches up guns as you progress, but the point there is that there is much MORE going on for the game and it does not center its playtime around grinding for loot.

Wow does a full expansion every year or so with multiple updates (more than two with some small content and some large content) (that are free considering time spent vs money per month spent) in those expansions.
-
I'd say the Taken King is pretty large.
-
Yes but they also classified TDB and HoW as "expansions" when they should have been considered large updates that really weren't worth the price that they were sold at.
-
I know but TTK is legitimately a lengthy expansion.

Good question! I knew no mmo.
