WHY is Hopscotch Pilgrim so damn popular???
I got it on a strike very early on, with a good roll, tried it out once or twice. The stupid thing sucked mega ass and served its purpose by giving me enough weapon parts to upgrade my MIDA. Why do people like it so much????

I can't compare it to the messenger because i don't have a messenger, but it is a damn good pulse rifle when reforged favorably. I don't have a messenger because i am terrible at trials.

It's a pvp weapon. Put pvp perks on it, level it, and try in pvp. It's on the same level as the messenger, except you can change its perks

It is very much like the Messenger with the ability to two shot headshot but if you reroll it to have reactive reload then you can two shot body shot. Of the three weapons The Messenger, Spare Change, and Hopscotch, the Hopscotch Pilgrim beats out the other two weapons in stability, mag size, and reload.

Exactly, I dismantle mine as soon as I got it on my first dragon strike. I thought it was just a regular crappy pulse rifle and I had so many back then so I was like meh.

It's for people who can't get themselves a messenger. The community wanted to be all upset about "not having access to lighthouse rewards" but what they didn't realize is that for every chest reward on Mercury, there's a legendary equal. It just goes by another name.

Hopscotch, along with Thorn, Partycrasher, Hawkmoon, and the Last word seem to be the main weapons killing me in the crucible recently.

2 RepliesIt is only good in pvp, sucks ass in pve. Not many guns that can get 5 kill streaks without reloading. I have a few friends with max grimoires and messengers who say the pilgrim is better. Just saying
