You were lucky enough to be able to upgrade at all AND you keep exotics. This is an FPS with MMO like mechanics, loot grinding and gear timeouts are the normal. If you didn't see it coming, well sorry. This forces you to broaden your horizons. At the start, it's annoying and it really is a setback, but you make your way, find guns you love again, and the game goes on.
