Like I've said to other people; overall, I'm REALLY excited by what I've seen from TTK so far. The new gear, new mechanics, new enemies, new areas, etc.. It looks like the game Destiny was supposed to be from Day 1, and that's awesome!
My issue is that I've been excited about gear in [i]every[/i] DLC so far- and Bungie didn't need to make my old gear worse to make that happen! Even when they added ascension, and I had upgraded all of my old gear, I [i]still[/i] wanted the new stuff!
Matador, Eye of Sol, the Adept Primaries, etc.. I already get excited for new gear, so I don't know why Bungie seems to think that players aren't capable of loving old gear AND new gear! :P

I think that's a perfectly reasonable approach. And, I might add that I hate the idea of having to hold a moment of silence for my Devil you Know. :-)
