So you are saying that you would use the new guns over fb, vision, preydths revenge, black hammer, messenger, or hopscotch, to that i call bs, hell the only time my crota guns saw action was nightfails w void burn or on crota raid, the only how guns i use are my scholar, my jewel, and my matador or party crasher and thats for funzies or pvp.
No I'm not saying that I should use anything. The point is that by allowing a player to keep old gear as well as adding new you are expanding the players choices. That is the meaningful part.
In fact, since you brought up Crota gear, let's take that as an example. When TDB was released, they added a muiltitude of new weapons and armors. Hurray! But, at the same time they resteicted old weapons and gear by not allowing them to level up as high.
So, what happened? Since the number of choices of what you could wear/use increased with Crota but at the same time decreased with the block of old gear/weapons...the choices of what to wear/use did actually stay the same. TDB didn't expand your number of choices, it just kept them the same.
You see?

I don't dispute what you are saying but maybe Bungie have the data that shows people are still predominately using original legendries from vanilla destiny. They obviously don't want this so are phasing them out in preference of the new dlc's guns. To say give us loads and loads of choice but people only really use a small selection of guns, what is the point in having the choice. I in no way prefer keeping or losing all old guns I have no opinion on it except I will play a game if it is fun for me under the constraints of the game.

There was little incentive to use another legendary HC than Fatebringer because Fatebringer simply was a good, cool and ultimatelly very fun legendary HC. The point of choice is giving power to the player to determine their own experience. People will always gravitate towards certain weapons, no matter how hard you try to stir them. Do you honestly believe that we will use every weapon in TTK equally? Nope! Favorites will emerge even there, my friend. As a side note: people seem to forget that not all weapons added in HoW was lackluster. For example, you see a hell of a lot more people using The Messenger than Praedyth's Timepiece, do you not?

Sorry why are you saying this to me?
