Each new dlc added very little. They made (albeit late) a way to keep all year 1 weapons relevant. I think this was late because I have the feeling the idea of how things are going to work didn't come to bungie until HoW was being developed. In yr 2, they're starting fresh with ttk that has more weapons than the core game had. What I think they're going to do is, Bungie will allow all of that years weapons to stay relevant. Weapons that came out 9/15/2015 will be relevant until 9/2016. Then they'll be a purge again for yr 3. I'm betting bungie is going to do a sort of annual closet cleaning, out with the old and in with the new. I have this feeling that's the way it's going to work out.
