Well the very essence of it is an MMO. Looks like one and it acta like one. You can't deny this. But any other games don't allow progress to carry on. The only games I know that do are Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Plus did you bother reading the GI interviews? The quote is "Legendary weapons and armor are not set to ascend to TTK values at the BEGINNING of year two." Read that and put it with what Cosmo said what will you realize? Ascension will continue but not right away. The reason being is they want us to use the cool new stuff first which is understandable. Please research first and think before following everyone else who's misinformed.

What about this game screams MMO to you? I'd really like to know.

Looting, raiding, the way it feels. MMO characteristics. But did you read my comment entirely or the GI articles thoroughly? If not you literally came in here with guns blazing but with only blanks to fire.

I saw the GI articles. Its not indicative one way or another, and does nothing to resolve the matter at hand. Also, Looting/Raiding does not make it an MMO. You do that in Skyrim, which is an entirely offline game. Feels? Feels like what? Destiny "feels" exactly like Halo with less vehicles, a different universe and with a forced Dead Island online mode. Its not an MMO. NOT an MMO.

Alright point proven. But seriously re-read the GI articles thoroughly. It said "not set to ascend at the beginning of year 2". This means we will be able to ascend in the future but not instantly. This is backed by Cosmo's statement. To be honest this can be a good thing to wait for ascension. It allows us to test all the new stuff before bringing up the old to determine if the ascension is worth it. How can that be bad?
