The code involved in storing a gun for 10 years is pretty minimal, the fact that they cant figure out how to expand our vaults larger then they are a year later has me a little paranoid they have more issues then we know. I work with databases all the time and if this hybrid mmo/shooter really want a 10 year life its going to give players more options then the current play the way we want you 2

  • The problem isn't coding a bigger vault. The problem is the amount of memory on the older consoles. When you load into the tower you load everything in the tower for example, all vendor items, all valt item, all post master items, elc. Thats why when you scroll over an item tge stats show right away. The old consoles don't have the memory to store all of that. Thats part of the reaaon why bungie made a new social space for HoW so they don't add 3 new venders to the tower. When I'm talking about menory I am talkin about memory I mean system Ram not hard drive space.

  • Gotcha that makes more sense cant really work around old hardware. I would say make nexgen only version but that would cause even more problems.

  • Well they could work around it but it will require quite a bit of development time. They could make it where items don't load in until you scroll over them.
