This is my issue to. Eve online, wow, swtor, etc. The cool gear is just a number of stats strapped to a brick.
Here the gear has "feed back perks" their effects are more visceral and direct than just +5 frost. Or 3 percent pickpocket boost.
The gear in this game changes whole playstyles.
