I agree with every point you made here. Making too close a comparison between destiny and an MMO will just leave destiny feeling more lacking than ever as well.I like my raid weapons that I grinded hard as -blam!- for. I like my legendary pistols and my fusion rifles damnit. Realize this isn't to make way for new and more exciting weapons it is to make you choose crappier equipment over the stuff you have slavishly grinded countless hours for. How can I look fondly back on my time year one if it all turns to ash in front of my eyes at the begining of year 2? What happened to building my legend? What happened to my gear having a story? Is the story that my gear gets nerfed and I don't like it anymore? Because that is a shit story.
