HoW weapons were turned out to be garbage because of ascension. I think Bungie and most would agree that weapon drops should be an exciting part of destiny. Players should keep coming back for something more. Sure the gameplay is fun but it's also extremely repetitive. Look at it this way. If you went into the TTK with the best weapons and gear already, how many times would you play through it before it gets old? I've beaten skolas a total of.. 1 time. I honestly thought it was a pretty fun encounter but why would I play it again when its still fresh in my mind? For the guns? No thanks I have my VoC and FB. For the gear? No thanks, I've already ascended the best stat and perk gear available. On the other hand I played crota over 50 times during TDB despite it being pretty mediocre for one reason, 331 raid weapons.

  • No, HoW weapons turned out to be garbage due to poor design perks. Shank Burn? Disciplinarian? LOL... those narrowly specific perks just couldn't compare with the gear from Vanilla and TDB when all things were equal. Solution? Don't make weapons with Shank Burn! I mean, really - when was the last time that a Shank frightened you to death?

  • That only applies to PoE weapons though, and even then there are some decent perks in there. Besides that only proves my point further though. Ascension ruined these guns. I would choose a 365 rocket with shank burn that dealt 4000 damage over a 331 rocket that only deals 3400. One wasted perk slot is not that big of a deal, the majority of the weapon lies within the base stats. HoW perks as a whole were actually kind of good considering Bungie already admitted that creating those OP vanilla perks was a mistake.

  • You are overestimating the power behind attack values. The difference between 331 and 365 is not so big that I would pick a RL with shank burn over a hunger of crota.

  • No I'm not, it's [i]exactly[/i] that big. The difference in damage value from 331 to 365 against level 21-35 enemy is 15%.

  • POE rewards are a dissaster, no disagreements, here! But Trials rewards were [i]amazing[/i]. Instead of pooping on existing gear, I think Bungie should just [i]make better gear[/i]. Keep existing players happy, while also giving them incentive to get [i]new[/i] gear! Again, it worked for me with ToO!

  • And ToO rewards are built around PvP. They suck in PvE. This argument should be about PvE cause PvP doesn't take attack into effect.

  • They suck in PvE? Do you even [i]have[/i] them? The Adept Primaries have elemental damage, and hit like freight trains; I love them, and you're crazy. XD Also- what I'm saying is that [i]all[/i] future rewards should be as desirable as ToO rewards, for both PvP and PvE modes. :) And what argument did I "lose?" I'm perfectly okay with Bungie putting out better weapons, that's not what I'm arguing [i]at all[/i]. What I'm saying is that simply increasing the damage on new gear is a cheap-ass cop-out on Bungie's part, when they should be putting out new content that's desirable [i]on its own[/i]. Again, perfect example; Trials gear. Same damage/Light Levels as the rest of the gear in the game, yet it's super-desirable. :P

  • FateBringer trumps all arc guns. Vision covers solar. Word trumps Void. Armour is cosmetic now as light levels aren't a thing any more. And the guns have always been great stand alone weapons in all DLCs so this is to stop comparisons and start afresh. They will make cool guns. 4th Horseman is great. NLB feels new and different. LoW is just great. QBB is just fun. We don't talk about Dregs promise.

  • You pretty much summed up my reply. Bump The adept primaries are nice, but nothing beats the raid guns.

  • And yes. I have every ToO gun. Every Exotic gun. All armour. All Raid Guns. All armour. I am getting 3665 grimoire then taking a break.
