This happens with ever xp level based game. You cap out. You take a break or you don't. New dlc is released raising the level cap. You're back in the grind.
Don't act surprised or cheated. Even if they weren't restructuring the level system, you still would have been capped out already.

Part kind of is a surprise and kinda crap though. They gave us like what 27 total missions, and we hit level 20 long before we completed this. I'll be fine, it's just hilarious that they encouraged us to finish the missions that give us xp on items that its NEARLY useless. So I'm not flipping, I just see the hilariousness in the *waves emblem around* "oh now you need xp to level up, if only you had more missions to do."

I see what you're saying, but that's why we'll have new missions, quests, strikes and stuff to gain xp from. And there's no way they're going to knock everyone down to level 20. I'm sure they'll be converting everything "seemlessly" as reported by gamescom goers. So no worries.

Of course we will get xp and gains from the new activities, just kind of funny that they pressed us hard to finish the current ones where the xp only went to gear which will be made useless. I personally hope they adopt this from now on as their leveling system. Gear deciding leveling system was flawed and made it easy to use 3 identical characters as a way to get gear to share amongst each other easier. With xp only leveling at least to keep up the same pattern would mean you at least have to grind all 3 characters more.
