Personally not really my number 1 concern, it was bound to happen, I do understand how people feel about this and can simply say it has happened before, there was an uproar and then change, maybe it will happen again, who knows.
I DO 100% agree with your last paragraph, they NEED to LISTEN.
on another note if you had the choice to Ascend only 1 weapon which would it be?

Not really. I mean, it wouldn't be a strong enough selling point to keep people who are leaving because of this. Out of all my weapons, though, I just simply prioritize the Red Hand as the one weapon I identify the most with, considering the amount of time and effort it took for me to get it in the first place. Rank 7 New Monarchy was not exactly a walk in the park, that grind was very real indeed.

Bungie would never agree to all the year 1 toys that much is clear, so how many do you think would be acceptable?

10 seems to be the magic number. To be fair, though, they were saying the same thing before about Dark Below as well. We've already been through this whole thing with gear not being ascended before. And in the end we got Etheric Light.

I hope that the raid gear will be upgraded to the new system, all we have to do is grind for them again

I would like to be given a choice of 1 per character. 1 weapon and maybe a armor piece. I like to look different from everyone else. So I would like the option to ascend all armo b/c I have some old Titan gear and maybe 1 weapo. Per character. I like to read the cards about the exotics and j want to write my own story for my character... Say about The Chance and have it follow me a be "my" guardian's weapon

I simply ask because of that reason, if Bungie gave us only 1 weapon to Ascend then that weapon would be unique, maybe no one else would have it making it 100% unique, odds are we would all choose Vision of Confluence, well most of us.

(i would choose the Chance or the Fulcrum, maybe the Timur's Lash or Red Hand) - you are able to ascend it to "exotic" status. - to make it exotic, you get to choose whichever elemental damage you would like it to do. No other perks change and you can no longer re-roll it. - you are able to customize it, add a skin, etc... to make it unique. i know it's far out there, but again, just ideas.

I'd Ascend my first legendary weapon ever, Cryptic Dragon. That thing has my favorite perk for any precision based weapon, Firefly! It rivals most Scout Rifle I own too.
