Just hope it's not like bloodborne too much.

Edited by UniqueGamer: 8/8/2015 12:32:55 PMLong time supporter and player. I was put off like most by the bloodborne elements and not that bloodborne is a bad game in fact it was a great game but it wasn't Dark souls. While I am hesitant I look forward to finishing this final chapter in the souls series. It was a great ride and hope to stay on the train for as long as my body allows me too. The frustration of dying over and over again might be too much lol

Someone said that they will change the games color, right now it looks like Bloodborne, I hope it's true.

I have a feeling Xbox players will enjoy this slightly more. But I'm very excited to play it,it looks so nice

I'm ready to die. I know the game is still a ways off, but I can't wait.

I had a few reservations at first but after viewing Terra mantis review on YouTube those kind of went away. Firstly combat. I felt as if it was straying towards bloodborne more then dark souls 1 nd 2. But statements and videos gave shown it's just a little faster then the predacessors. Magic. People thought if was removed. But I think it will make a reapearance. Swords arts are also really cool. It was said they would be like bloodvials/quicksilver bullets. But it's definetly closer to estus and magic. It refills upon death or rest at a bonfire. Back stabs are instant and satisfying. But still require skill and adequate timing. Enemies can track like a mofo meaning random dodging is useless. Yay. Enemies also seem far harder to stun, however certain sword arts stun them, when no other attack would.

Totally. Though after seeing some gameplay today, I have some reservations. So from the initially leaked images through to the actual gameplay footage today, it looked like Bloodborne. That's a good thing aesthetically, BB was gorgeous and played great except for some occasional frame rate drops. However, after seeing the game in action and hearing the first hand accounts of the demo. It appears that it really is Dark Souls shoehorned into BB's engine/toolkit. Sword Arts use a resource that is essentially just BB's quicksilver bullet supply. That means spells are probably going to work similarly to BB's Hunter Tools and as such, there will be no easy mode caster classes. Shields are looking super awkward. With some being able to parry, some not and there was a total lack of poise. The hands on players said everything that hit your shield staggered you. From what I recall Miyazaki saying at E3, the game is done. So while we are seeing alpha builds in this demo. The core functionality of the game is going to stay the same. I am disappointed at the Bloodbornification of Dark Souls 3, but it will still be an amazing game. The general consensus was that it was not like Dark Souls 2 at all. But rather more like Dark Souls 1, with elements of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. All in all, I'm hyped, but slightly saddened by the more streamlined approach. *throws money at the screen while shoveling ice cream in crying face* P.S. This might mean we will get some features of Bloodborne in DaS3 though, like Chalice Dungeons.

Miyazaki: [yelling] Can you count, suckers? I say, the future is ours... if you can count! [a couple of souldiers cheer for Miyazaki] Miyazaki: Now, look what we have here before us. We got the Demon Souldiers sitting next to the Dark Souldiers. We've got Meta Runners right by the I play for Funners. Nobody is wasting nobody. That... is a miracle. And miracles is the way things ought to be. [Few more souldiers cheering for Miyazaki] Miyazaki: You're standing right now with nine delegates from 100 Fandoms. And there's over a hundred more. That's 20,000 hardcore gamers. Forty-thousand, counting affiliates, and twenty-thousand more, not organized, but ready to fight: 60,000 souldiers! Now, there ain't but one more year til this game drops. Can you praise it? Souldiers: Yeah. Miyazaki: Can you praise it? Souldiers: Yeah! Miyazaki: CAN YOU PRAISE IT? Souldiers: YEAH!
