I've played PvP alone for a majority of the 10 months Destiny has been out. I've stuck mainly to Skirmish, Salvage, Rumble and the occasional Clash. I never liked Control. I've always done pretty well and never found it hard to acquire a 2+ K/D in most games. However in random matchmaking, the randoms that get placed on my fireteam are almost always horrible. 80% of the time, they can't even go positive and will often have a K/D below 0.50. This doesn't just happen once in a while or even every few games; this is almost EVERY SINGLE GAME that I ever play without a premade team. What I don't get is why can't there be some sort of skill based matchmaking or vote to kick option in case the randoms are making it incredibly hard to win. I've usually just sucked it up or in severe cases, reported, blocked them and eventually moved on but about a month ago, I got fed up with playing alone. It's gotten to the point to where I will scream my head off at them and even harass them over PS4 chat which is an incredibly stupid idea. I fear for my sanity if I ever have to play with randoms again. Bungie, if you're reading this unintelligent tangent of a post, please fix your matchmaking. All of my high skill friends and I get the worst players to shamelessly carry just because we're good. MM is broken and should be balanced a lot better. It's not fair to be punished with potato players just because the server thinks you're good enough to carry them.
DISCLAIMER: My posts are usually very unpopular and controversial so if and when you disagree, just have the decency to keep all insults to a minimum. Thanks.

do you feel the need to win every game? I don't really care. I'll go casual with some random or fun gun in regular crucible I don't use thorn and blink shotgun like a sweaty try hard
thats for trials ;)
Dude I feel your pain...when teammates go 2-15 I wonder how they even have fun playing!!
-
They've already stated that they're making skill based mm no?
-
Bungie devs are obviously retarded. Yesterday, every single match i joined was already started and the other team had the lead with +7000k points. LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE FVCKING MATCH!
-
It is skill based
-
If you watch the Planet Destiny video on YT of why you should be excited about TTK it does mention about matchmaking and there are some fixes on the way
-
Your so good scrubs are put on your team to even the odds. Git Worse MLG.
-
I find it hard to believe that u drop from a 2.0 to a .5 But i find this a problem as well, especially in 3v3 one scrub can ruin the whole game
-
Ikrrrrr i keep getting matched against people who are stuck at 150 points for the entirety of the game. Sick and tired of people making it impossible for the team to win especially if im having a good game >:(
-
Woah. Crucible with matchmaking is for everyone. An easy fix to your problem is to always go in with a fireteam. Keep adding people you'd like to play with for crucible so you always have people to play with when you're online. No need to complain.
-
I agree. I tend to get matched up when losing games when I try to PVP solo. i learned that a while ago. Even if yoiu have one person you are more likely to get a fresh game. It really is because people quit rather than try and practice at getting better.

I play crucible all the time and carry shitty players but it doesn't matter because I find crucible very fun.
-
Hahahaha I feel the same, I will look at lobby pre game and it will be what looks like decent and sorry players..match starts and all the new players on my team while the other team is 3 flawless guys and 3 max grimorie players, smh.

I'm not in favor of a "kick" option: bad players would never get to play and since there are more bad players than elite, Bungie would have a huge problem on their hands. Plus, my guess is they're just as pissed as you are that they're getting stomped and can't do anything. But your other point I can't bump enough. It is exactly what Bungie should be doing. Some combo of grouping players based on mode K/D, overall K/D, and W/L ratio and THEN forming teams to balance would let bad players still have fun and let really good players not get stuck with an anchor. I fall somewhere in the middle, skill-wise, so it doesn't affect me as much. I can play with really good guys without getting frustrated or holding anybody back and can lead the team in points and kills and am aware enough to know that's not always a good thing for the team's chances of winning. But what you're talking about would make everybody's experience better. I know they do some of that. When I play with my elite friends, we almost always get matched against tougher players than when I run solo. But most players can tell when there are one or two players that obviously don't belong in that match, for better or worse.

The community is still evolving. Maybe your opinion will change after weapon rebalance.
