I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.
-
You aren't going to lose levels. If you are 34, that's what level you'll be when TTK comes out. Try watching videos and not spreading false info. This has been talked about already.
-
If this is how it's going to be im going to equip all uncommon gear on all 3 and start from 20 so I can get the most stuff.
-
They are still incorporating light into the stats so I think there might be a pretty good chance that well go back to 20 with level 34 light gear. This will put us at an advantage to someone only at level 20. And honestly I'm ok with that. I want repeatability. You all want to start at 34 and be maxed in two weeks? Booooring. Thsts my take.
-
They haven't decided what XP level we will start at
-
You aren't please edit or delete the post. Read or watch interviews. Don't jump to conclusions.
-
You couldn't be more wrong. You won't be set back to 20 and light levels aren't going away. Go to 18:06 of this video and see exactly what's happening to levels & light straight from a dev & DEEJ. IGN: Destiny Devs Reflect On Year 1 - Fireteam Chat Ep. 30 http://youtu.be/GzCnxPOu8M4

Your light level becomes your base level when ttk releases
-
People like you need to get off these forums. Research before you speak please
-
Deej said in an interview with ign, that we dont go back to lv20. He also said that if your guardian is lv26, you're good to go for ttk. So i think we probably start at our current light level.
-
Bungie has released a statement saying whatever level you are at the start of the taken king is the level you will be so if you are 34 you will stay 34
-
Here's to hoping there's some added depth to how strong you can make your character through skill trees. There really isn't much separating each class except for supers, so to add other skills for each class would be great. They could really benefit from having a Paragon level-esque system where you continue leveling after 40 but use it to add on to preexisting stats like speed for hunters, toughness for titans, and intelligence for warlocks. Stats like that won't probably be added through TTK, but hopefully somewhere down the line would be nice.
-
Lol even though it's been said by many many people that are trustworthy including a bungie mentor that if you are 34 right now you will stay 34... I wouldn't mind being reset to 20 but I know that's not the case
-
I'm glad
-
Lol this isnt true
-
Light levels 34's in Taken King will be level 34 you don't listen, Light level 21s-33s will be that level in the Taken King. If you start a new character once Taken King is released there will be a consumable that will boost you to lvl 20 if you character is below so that you won't be behind and can play the new content
-
F4k3.
-
Nobody cares about light levels...
-
Makes me laugh how many responses bullshit posts seems to gather on this forum and how little the important stuff gets. A community of angry people more suited to political forums as apposed to video game ones.
-
Meh, whatever. I'm already 800 hours in, leveling up is just more time in a game I enjoy
-
It's a new system, will have the attacking power of 34's but be level 20.
-
To all those saying we will be level 34 in ttk, hit the character menu button while playing and tell me what level it says. Thy as the level you are going into ttk.
-
Deej said in an interview with ign that we will keep the level we achieved. That means we might just become level 34

Edited by Moot: 8/8/2015 1:41:34 PMMy thoughts? My thoughts are that you haven't done your homework.

Heads up guardians, If you are level 34 when the dlc hits, you'll be 34 and use exp from there up to 40. Charlemagne, a mentor on these forums, has confirmed this in a post of his own.
-
Yes and some of you aren't smart enough to realize that when it drops, you will be whatever your light level is which has already been confirmed by Bungie.
-
It's been confirmed by Urk and DeeJ in a very recent IGN video that you will keep your current level. Whatever your light level is now, that will be your level in the taken King. For instance, I am a level 34 Hunter, so for TTK I will also be a 34, and I'll just have to rank up 6 more times to get to max level
