I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

It would be a more productive way of obtaining a total of 6 more levels.
-
You need to read a lil more http://www.vg247.com/2015/08/07/destiny-the-taken-king-still-includes-light-levels/

Please stop posting kid

Can anyone post a link to the actual proof if we are starting at 20 instead of our current light level? Like I actually wanna no if I should be putting in work on my 20 hunter...
-
I hope you are aware by now that you are not starting at 20 unless you are 20 at the tine TTK drops. If your 34 then you will be 34
-
Light will still matter. Levels will have a recommended Light Level, which tells how powerful your guns and armor are.

Edited by NinjaJohnno: 8/10/2015 11:22:02 AMI am sure we are getting set to our current light lvl, as if they re-set everyone to 20 all raids, and strike lists would need to be re-jigged and PoE as well, this is to much effort for them imo, if you're 34 today, you will be 34 when TTK lands. I have no issue with a standard XP system, the elites will complain that anyone can hit max level, but from what I understand being max lvl won't mean that much, it's acquiring the gear to compliment that lvl as well.
-
Deej already commented your light level would be taken in regard somehow. And you get 1 boost for a character to immediately get to the level needed to start TTK. Tbh I would actually like if we got to 20. Only 6 new levels to level for would make it too short. Make it longer
-
Can't wait to ware the gear I want to -blam!-ing ware tbh... The light level stuff was really getting on my tits tbh now everyone can max out no matter their play style. And raid gear can still rock by simple having better perks than just being an higher light level

Edited by The Mr Ree: 8/10/2015 11:13:16 AMMy reaction is that I wish you all would shut up about TTK you dont know anything about it so stop trying to get attention by making something you havent even played or seen yet sound bad.
-
IGN live with Deej confirmed that we don't drop to 20
-
You are an idiot. Not getting reseting. Read notes.. you will continue from level 34. But now, your gear (light level) will have nothing to do with progression level which 34 now. You can have rare item on and you wil still be level 34 but with lower defence and attack. Your experience points will now add up to 34 and each level will require certain level of exp. Till 40.
-
Sorry they already said we are starting at our present levels, not 20.
-
No it doesn't mean light levels don't matter at all . Check your privilege

Couldn't care less what level I start at.
-
Bungee jump
-
They announced that if you are 34 then you'll stay 34.
-
Bungie have already stated that if you are currently 34 then your TTK starting point will be level 34.
-
Guess you're the stupid one, classic.
-
False. You will get bumped up to the same level as your light level were pre TTK
-
If your lvl 34 you will be lvl 34, if your lvl 33 and were lvl 34 before because of switching armor pieces you are still level 34 when TTK releases
-
You Thot

Never go full retard
-
Fine Max level guardians can finally wear different gear without the restraint light level has
-
Yeah, light will still be in the game though, I assume it will be similar to gear score in other MMORPGs
