I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

dude stfu your such an idiot
-
Cosmic wang strikes again!
-
So congrats to the five people that figured out what this thread is, you arent actually retarded.

Edited by trickshot1002: 8/10/2015 3:30:45 PMYour light level will become your xp level Wanna rephrase who isn't smart? Do research next time. ~trickshot1002 ︻デ┳═ー

Even if that was the case, I wouldn't mind because I really don't like the leveling system the way it was. Restricting max level to a couple sets of armor (or one in the case of Destiny vanilla) that were insanely hard to obtain was really annoying, and walled off anyone who wasn't super try hard mlg pro from getting there. Only in the last couple months has that changed and even now etheric light is hard to get a hold of for the causal player. Destiny should have had XP based leveling at the start.
-
You'll stay your current level no matter what
-
Lol what a great way start off a post; insulting another persons intelligence..
-
You stay 34
-
We stay at the level we've attained when The Taken King drops, as been confirmed by DeeJ As for light levels? They aren't completely going away either, light is our power base now, but instead of say 12 light per level, and being under levelled by just one point makes you not as useful, every light point will now matter and increase your strength in game.

Edited by Lurid Jester: 8/10/2015 2:17:33 PMMaybe not lead with an insult? Edit: also, I'm all for it. Light levels are moronic.
-
You're an idiot
-
Gonna start as 34 cuz i am 34
-
Wrong. They said you will begin at your current lvl past 26. Look at gameinformer interview with deej.
-
Didn't they state that lvl 34's will start as a 34 I I'm almost certain. You don't drop to 20
-
Edited by Viking Friday: 8/10/2015 1:20:13 PMMy friend is level 27. *Just started* Will he become 34?
-
Since it looked like some of the things we could do just limit entry on equipped light level, I don't have a problem with it. We could be level 40 with Khovostov equipped, and denied entry because our gear sucks.
-
Can't wait! I'm so glad my level won't be based on how lucky I am at getting drops
-
Yeah this was my number one issue with the update
-
Edited by Deadcell186: 8/10/2015 1:05:28 PMAnd to compound what OP has stated, TTK noobs will be able to skip the grind and play on veteran levels.........wtf And btw OP: it's already confirmed we will remain at our current levels.
-
Each character will be set to the max level that character has been, if you have a 34, even if he is currently wearing 30 light, he will be 34 because the system remembers the peak level (All this is confirmed)
-
Interviewer: Will you get reset to level 20? Urk and DeeJ: Nope. Urk: If you're a 32 or level 34 (examples) that's what's going to show when you start up The Taken King.
-
Your an idiot
-
Edited by Moot: 8/10/2015 12:07:20 PMWe're not going to 20 😕
-
LOL 800+ replies, you guys are retarded...
-
Assuming only makes an ass out of u (not really me cause you don't dig too deep for info. I knew about lvl not resetting last week sometime)
-
It would be a more productive way of obtaining a total of 6 more levels.
