Thoughts on losing light levels and going to 20?
I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

Actually, whatever your light level was when TTK drops is what xp level you'll begin with. For me, I'll start with 33 when TTK drops, do some research before you bitch and whine.

A level 20 with a light level of 34 gear. So maybe we will still be 34 light but will need to level from 20-40?

Actually i think itll be a better system, you cant judge a guy by their level, just think about those forever 29s that cleared VoG each week and didnt get their boots

Deej has already answered this question and everything will be alright. http://m.ca.ign.com/videos/2015/08/06/destiny-the-taken-king-new-gameplay-ign-live-gamescom-2015 If you were 26 before the patch drops, you will be 26. If you were 34; you will be 34. Build experience from there. [Light will still factor in someone but your level will carry over. Maybe you will be able to add light to your armor through these armor materials they mentioned. That could mean there could still be differences in damage output/armor resistance across same level players depending on how one chooses to upgrade.] If you're just starting out, take the boost consumable at the Tower and instantly have your character at the minimum level for TTK (still undetermined). There were some well rehearsed answers in this video that make me feel a lot better about things.

Gameinformer said the transition was extremely smooth. The only information pertaining to levels that needs to be focused on is that they are getting rid of this horrid light level system.
